"THE FEAST OF TRUMPETS SOUNDS
THE SHOFAR NOTE"
In September 2002 I released this Prophetic Message in my newsletter to the body of Christ. Saints of God I pray you read every word. America is "shaking" we are facing the dark clouds of the "Economic Storms" that are now upon us. Here at the National Divine Connection we continue to pray for our Nation's Revival, Those in Authority, the Church and its Saints--so let us press forward to pray for our country and each other like never before.

There were basically
two kinds of trumpets in Israel; trumpets made of ram’s horns and trumpets of
silver. Now, Moses was instructed to
make two silver trumpets, which were used for the various callings of Israel. “And the
Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Make thee two trumpets of silver; of a whole
piece shalt thou make them: that thou
mayest use them for the calling of the assembly, and for the journeying of the
camps.” Numbers 10:1-2. These twin silver trumpets when blown would
alert or announce to the camps what season they were approaching. The Almighty God was calling and they were
expected to respond to the trumpet sound.
There were nine (9) distinct trumpet sounds: one was for the calling of the assemblies,
the journeying of the camps, the calling of the leaders, for war or enemy
oppression, announcing a new year, the solemn assemblies, the offerings and
sacrifices, and the days of gladness (festivals). As Israel heard the trumpet sound recognizing
the specific note; they quickly responded, obeyed, and then immediately
prepared for their instructions. Just as
Israel recognized the Lord’s beckoning call at that particular time in history
and quickly responded, today, we are also called to recognize and quickly
respond to the spiritual trumpet of the hour!
THE
SACRED SHOFAR SOUNDS – FESTIVAL TIME
What is the 2002
spiritual trumpet sound to the body of Christ as we quickly approach the fall
festivals this September which announce the closing off of an old year and the
coming of a new spiritual year? What
should our response be? The upcoming
trumpet sound in 2002 must be discerned as we key into the Spirit of the Living
God on what He will speak. As the sacred
shofar is lifted up and put to the trumpeter’s lips and blown, God in Heaven
will again speak to Israel, but not only to them, but also to America and us
(church), the engrafted branch into the olive tree.
In Numbers
10:10, it reads, “Also in the
day of your gladness, and in your solemn days, and in the beginnings of your
months, ye shall blow with the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the
sacrifices of your peace offerings; that
they may be to you for a memorial before your God: I am the Lord your God.” The trumpet sound being blown to us announces
“…the day of your gladness, and in your
solemn days…” The days of
gladness were referring to the festivals of God that Israel was instructed to
celebrate without fail every year! There
were seven feasts making up three (3) major festivals for Israel. God was the host of these “Divine Appointments” and Israel was the guest.
People today refer to them as the Jewish festivals; rather, they were
the festivals of God. They went in this
order:
1) The Feast of Passover, in the
beginning of the year which comes in our March and April or the month “Abib”
also known as the month of Nisan.
2) The Feast of Pentecost, which
came in the middle of the year, fifty days after Passover (our June and July)
or the third month from the beginning of their sacred year. Then after Pentecost, there was a “three (3)
month dry spell (no rain)”.
3) Finally, the Fall Feast of the year came
during the month of Tishri (our September and October) known as the Feast of
Tabernacles, Feast of Ingathering or Booths.
YEARLY
HIGH PEAK HARVEST SEASONS
Israel would experience
three (3) “high peak harvest seasons” every year. Those “High Peak Harvest Seasons” came three
(3) times a year at each of the three (3) major festival seasons. Passover brought in the Barley Harvest, Pentecost
brought in the Wheat Harvest, and the Feast of Tabernacles brought in the Fruit Harvest at the end of the year. Many of
us have heard Christians say that the church is going to experience a great
harvest in these last days and this is so true!
But many do not have the understanding of “why” this big harvest of
revival and souls is coming. The Harvest
Festival or Feast of Tabernacles was always celebrated at the end of the year;
therefore, this “Big Harvest” that many Christians are talking about is coming
at the end of the age because Tabernacles is the last feast of the year to be
celebrated! The church as a whole has
celebrated Passover and Pentecost, but not Tabernacles. As a body we must remember that before we can
celebrate Tabernacles, this great harvest feast, we must first pass through the
celebration of the Feast of Trumpets, then into the Day of Atonement followed
by Tabernacles which brings the fruit harvest.
Church, these feasts, when understood and celebrated are the spiritual
moves of God individually and collectively.
Every festival brought a new glory and the Word of God says we go from
“Glory to Glory” or we go from “Feast to Feast”! All Christians (unaware) are celebrating
these festivals and can be compared to the “Growth Levels of the church”. Every Christian when they are born-again
celebrated the Passover Lamb Jesus Christ.
In the beginning of the age of Christianity we celebrated Passover which
is equivalent to our “Salvation Experience” which brought the water
baptism. Men like Martin Luther and
John Wesley found this feast and led people out of the Dark Age doctrines into His
marvelous light of the salvation festival.
Then Pentecost was discovered which brought the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Now, at the end of the year or the end of the
church age, we are being called to come to the Feast of Tabernacles which is
the Harvest Festival. A wonderful
celebration is among the many good things it brings and also the “Baptism of Fire”. What’s more exciting is that we
celebrate the spiritual side of these feasts on a yearly basis as
Christians. We receive rewards of
blessings at the peak seasons of the festivals.
But many of us have not been taught about the feasts simply because it
was not for yesterday, but rather for the hour upon us! I have studied, lived, and celebrated the Feast of the Lord for nineteen (19) years.
Later, God drew a people unto the ministry who the Lord had me teach and
instruct on how to celebrate these feasts.
It is such an “Awesome Experience" to see every year the three (3) “High Peak Spiritual Harvest Seasons” at these annual celebrations.
IT’S
THE SEASON FOR REAPING BLESSINGS OR JUDGMENTS
Every year, what you
have planted during the year will reap you a harvest spiritually, physically,
mentally, and financially. This happens
three (3) times a year. As a watchman, I
have observed and celebrated the spiritual feast, closely watching the seasons
of the three (3) harvests. And sure
enough you will either sell an item that‘s been sitting for a while, settle on
some inheritance or insurance situation(s), or receive a promotion on the job,
via a raise or bonus. Somehow, the Lord
makes sure that you are blessed to receive some extra money – the financial
harvest for us as Christians is evident yearly.
Today, most of us are not farmers as the nation of Israel, but planting
into the kingdom of God financially is so necessary to receive a harvest at
these “high peak spiritual seasons”.
Remember, Paul said in II Corinthians
9:6 as I paraphrase, he that soweth sparingly will also reap
sparingly and he that soweth bountifully will also reap bountifully. This is also the season of the wake-up call
to the unregenerate (the lost). This season
can bring true revival with many souls coming to the Lord during this festival. This fall will move us into the celebration
of the yearly Feast of Tabernacles, which begins September 7th with
the Feast of Trumpets announcing the Great Day of Atonement that takes us to
September 17, 2002. God
would ask the people to rest five (5) days, then begin the celebration of the
Feast of Tabernacles or Booths (also known as Succoth) which lasts 7 days,
finishing on September 29, 2002. The
awesome God always spoke very profoundly during the Fall Feasts to Israel
beginning with the Feast of Trumpets.
Over the years, I’ve learned that He not only speaks to Israel, but He
speaks to me spiritually on an individual basis, to the church collectively,
and to our nation!
THE
RIGHTEOUS ARE BLESSED & THE WICKED ARE JUDGED
The great shofar was
blown on the Feast of Trumpets and Israel’s ears were open to the sound of the
trumpet. When the shofar was blown it
announced the season of blessing and the season of judgment approaching. It was called “Rosh Hashanah” which means the
head or the beginning of the new year.
Let those who have ears to hear, hear what the spirit of the Lord is
saying. The trumpet announced a season
of repentance for the nation (Day of Atonement). If there was no repentance for the nation
during this season, they could expect only one thing – JUDGMENT. It was during this feast that the high priest
of Israel went into the Holy of Holies to make atonement for the sins of the
nation. Once a year, he would sprinkle
the Ark of the Covenant with the blood of bulls, calves, and goats with the
hope to be forgiven and blessed.
Last
year the spiritual Feast of Trumpets fell on Tuesday, September 18, 2001, one
(1) week to the day after September 11, 9/11. This was the same season of the fall feast
when the heavenly shofar was blown announcing the FEASTS OF TRUMPETS, and
divine bookkeeping records were opened, then God would pass out rewards of
blessings to the righteous and rewards of judgment to the wicked. What was our nation’s reward? – America
received the rewards of the “9/11 judgment” right on the eve of the New Year
season. On that very day the twin towers
in New York City which are located in the middle of her financial district were
brought down and many Americans were killed through terrorist attack
slaughter. Never in America’s 200 year
history has she ever received such a blow to her home shores and lived in so
much turmoil and terror since 9/11. On
that day, Americans were awakened to sudden destruction; a terrorist era was
unleashed upon the land of the brave and free! Our safety and peace were gone.
For a full year now America has lived in terror, warning, and alerts
with no sure plan of safety. The two (2)
twin towers were considered double judgment to the wicked. The sins of America had reached the God of
Heaven – He is the Lord God of Judgment – the Lord who smites. The Feast of Trumpets announced the closing
off of an old year and the coming in of a New Year and also announced the
upcoming ten (10) Awesome Days of Yom Kippur, the year’s highest holy day of
repentance for the nation and a day of fasting and solemn assembly.
IT IS THE FALL
SEASON OF GOD’S DIVINE BOOKKEEPING
DOUBLE BLESSINGS TO THE RIGHTEOUS &
DOUBLE BLESSINGS TO THE WICKED!
It is the season of
God’s divine bookkeeping. God’s people
believed that three (3) books were opened in heaven during the beginning of the
fall feast. One book was for the
“Righteous” (today born-again believers) and they immediately, if they were
sincere in their walk with God, received rewards of health, life, peace, security,
and prosperity. In John 10:10 Jesus said, “…I am come that they might have life, and that they
might have it more abundantly.”
On the other hand, the evil and wicked people whose names were found
written in the book of the “Wicked” immediately received judgment. They received destruction instead of life,
hurt instead of health, poverty instead of prosperity or riches, terror and
insecurity instead of peace and security.
Those that were neither totally righteous nor totally wicked (today we
call them lukewarm Christians) were given ten (10) days known as the awesome
days to search their hearts for sin and repent.
During this season, everyone gave themselves to the “searching of
hearts”. Depending on the sincerity of
their repentance, these intermediate or lukewarm people, on that fearsome day
Yom Kippur (Feast of Redemption) were judged and written either in the Book of
the Righteous or the Book of the Wicked.
God gave them ten (10) days – a time to repent. They had the choice either to have their name
written with the wicked for destruction, hurt, poverty, terror and insecurity,
or with the righteous for life, health, prosperity, peace, and security. What a merciful God we serve! It was so important they obey God and
celebrate the Day of Atonement (redemption) because on that great day of Yom
Kippur they believed that the gates of heaven were closed and their blessing or
judgment was sealed for the New Year. In
other words the entire new year would be one of blessing or judgment.
LOOKING
BACK TO 9/11, 2001 TRUMPET SOUND JUDGMENT
Now, as we look back to
the Feast of Trumpets which was celebrated last fall (2001), the trumpet sound
of the “9/11 Terrorist Attack” to the wicked of America was “Judgment”. And when true repentance (turning away from wrong)
didn’t come to this nation after that terrorist attack, the gates of heaven
were closed for the year on “Continued Judgment” and since then America has
lived a year of terror, fear, and no safety.
In July of this year 2002, seven (7) months after the 9-11 terrorist
attack, America still showed no real signs of repentance.
The Holy Spirit spoke to me, “Yes, there has
been a lot of lip service, but Americans continue to fornicate, commit
adultery, get drunk, and pass laws that approve sodomy as an acceptable
lifestyle in America; corrupting the young with pornography and shedding
innocent blood through abortion. They
continue to break covenant with me, so then judgment shall be their lot.” Church, all we have to do is look around,
see, and hear what is happening to our nation.
CRIME WAVE JUDGMENT ESCALATED IN 2002
This past summer was
known as the Summer of Abductions – little children abducted and later
murdered. “The Crime Wave Judgment” has
escalated in America to a higher degree.
In the October 2001 Newsletter, titled the 911 Judgments upon America,
I prophesied about a New Year demon invasion.
It read like this, “Yes, Church, America has begun a new spiritual
year. God by the Holy Spirit has spoken
to my heart that there are two (2) more serious judgment “woes” coming upon
America unless she repents. One (1) is a
demon invasion led by Apollyon, known as Abadon, unleashing myriads of demons
who will invade our young who have been emptied of God. This invasion will put this nation on a
course of murders, violence, and bloodshed like never before! This will be another 9/11 judgment. “And they
had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in
the Hebrew tongue is Abadon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name
Apollyon.” Revelation 9:11. It is no accident that evil demons are spoken
of in Revelations 9:11. This demon invasion will be the most
horrendous invasion and wave of uncleanness coming through television, internet
pornography and vile murders, for no apparent reason other than to quench a
blood thirsty generation.
Now, here we
are again approaching the Feast of Trumpets that falls on September 7th
2002. What will the new spiritual year
of the Lord bring in for us as individuals, as a church, and a nation? How will America fare on God’s divine
bookkeeping for the past year? Still, in
His mercy the Lord gave our nation from September 2001 – September 2002, time
to again repent and turn away from her wickedness before He sends something worse
to us. Has she repented? No, she hasn’t and the trumpet of the Lord is
getting ready to sound again. The
prophet Jeremiah said, “The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not
saved”
DOUBLE
BLESSINGS TO THE BORN AGAIN, SET APART CHRISTIANS
Now, what can the
righteous expect this coming year? In II Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore if any man be in Christ,
he is a new creature: old things are
passed away; behold, all things are become new.” This is the season of doubles, not only
double blessing to the righteous but double judgment to the wicked. All true born-again believers walking
uprightly will receive life instead of destruction, health instead of hurt,
riches and prosperity instead of poverty, and peace and security instead of
terror and insecurity. A thousand shall
fall at your side and ten thousand at our right hand and nothing shall come
nigh you, but church listen to this, “Only
with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the REWARD of the wicked” (Psalm
91:8). But those who
insisted on living wicked lives from last year to this year will only face the
“Smiter” whose judgment is in His hand, and the lukewarm church that remains in
that condition will be spewed out of His mouth.
THE
PULSE OF AMERICA’S ECONOMY IS GASPING FOR HER LAST BREATH
Another judgment
trumpet “woe” will be to our nation’s money system. We are facing the stormy dark clouds of an
economic collapse that will throw us into a financial holocaust or depression
short of repentance. For the past year,
I have watched Wall Street reports go up so many points and then come down so
many points – up and down, up and down.
The Holy Spirit said to me recently that He was going to show me the
“Pulse” of our nation’s economy (money market).
The pulse is the regular beating of the arteries caused by contractions
of the heart. As I watched the pulsating
of the money market in America, just as a dying man’s pulse goes up and down
affecting the fluctuations of the blood pressure till finally it drops lower and
lower till he is gone – America’s economy is doing the same. To pulsate means a variation characterized by
a rise or a decline. Wall Street is the
heart of the money market and we are seeing the rise and decline of the
pulsations of a dying economy gasping for her last breaths. If this continues many of us will live to see
the day that the dollar dies in America.
As the Holy Spirit continued to speak to me He reminded me that the
wealth of this nation came from Him.
Many Americans and Christians have the mindset of, “My power and the
might of my hand hath gotten me this wealth”.
America has forgotten that it is God that giveth her power to get
wealth. “If she doesn’t repent and turn back to me, one of these days soon she
(Wall Street) will drop so low and not have the strength to come back up and
die causing an economic collapse. For I
will judge a society who forgets me and thinks that her wealth is her
doings. This is my way of bringing proud
rebellious nations to their knees.”
Church, some of our worst economic “woes” have come at the time of the Fall Feast. The great depression of 1929
came in the fall season. In the fall of
1987 Wall Street hit an all time low.
STORM
CLOUDS OF FINANCIAL WOES FORMING AND MOVING TOWARDS AMERICA
Just as Edom was
prideful and was brought down, Americans have also become prideful, “The pride of thine heart hath deceived thee, thou that
dwellest in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation is high; that saith in his
heart, Who shall bring me down to the ground?
Though thou exalt thyself as the eagle, and though thou set thy nest
among the stars, thence will I bring thee down, saith the Lord.” Obadiah 1:3-4. God spoke this of Edom and today He speaks
the same of America or any nation that lifts itself above God. What is our position as the church to avert
these judgments upon our nation? What
are the near coming judgments? A
financial woe to our economy, the escalated crime wave to a nation who no
longer lives under the protection umbrella of God, but rather turned over to
terrorist judgment, robbed of her peace and safety. The beginning of great shakings are coming
soon; we will see earthquakes, natural disasters, etc. like never before.
CALL
JESUS THE HIGH PRIEST OF OUR PROFESSION ON 911
What can we do? First of all, take the fall feast
seriously. Secondarily, follow the feast
and celebrate it by moving our churches into repentance for that ten (10) day
period ending with a solemn assembly with the hope that our God would hear from
heaven, forgive our sin, and heal our land.
After that season of repentance (10 Days of Atonement) depending on
Israel’s sincerity, God would send them the rains. The rains were a must – without the rains
Israel might as well be dead! The rains
were a sign from heaven to them that God has heard their prayers of
repentance. Now they could look forward
to a good year full of life, health, joy, peace, and prosperity. Beloved, who knows that after we stand in the
gap, pray, and repent on behalf of our own hearts, then our households and the
nation, then perhaps God will send us the spiritual rains of true revival
giving us another good year full of His grace and mercy. We, as Christians have a spiritual 911. As I shared earlier that during the Days of
Atonement the high priest would go into the Holy of Holies once a year and make
atonement for the sins of the people and sins of the nation. When God accepted their blood sacrifices and
repentance, then He would give them ONE MORE GOOD YEAR! Our 911 is Hebrews
9:11. AND IT READS LIKE
THIS, “But Christ being come an high priest
of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with
hands, that is to say, not of this building; Neither by the blood of goats and
calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having
obtained eternal redemption for us. For
if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the
unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: How much more shall the blood of Christ, who
through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your
conscience from dead works to serve the living God?” Let us call on our Blessed Redeemer, the High
Priest, to make holy intercession for us as we come boldly before the throne of grace to ask for help and obtain mercy in our time of need. Perhaps, if our repentance is truly sincere,
then our nation will be spared the upcoming woes of judgment. To God be the Glory!
