We are now quickly
moving into the New Year of 2015, a very special year. It is the beginning of a
brand new year but what makes it more special--it is also the beginning of a
new season. How exciting! The old season is gone and we will take the good
things we’ve learned and acquired into the “new” with us. On the other hand, if we’ve made mistakes,
then we learn from them and go on to the new day. A year is only 12 months
long, but seasons are much longer and the one we are finishing up is a season
of 30 years made up of three ten (10) year seasons. This past season was a real
long one and also a hard one for the Christian. Some of us lost our financial investments
and at times it was our fault and other times it was circumstances beyond our
control. There were times when we almost felt that our lives were hopeless but
we kept on going trusting in the Light of Jesus Christ.
Other times we felt
like throwing in the towel but we persevered and decided to follow hard after
Jesus, because there was nothing to go back to! Those who we thought were our
best friends turned against us, yet our God has brought us through these
turbulent waters. Those of us who stayed
faithful to God these past 30 years will experience great blessings, rewards
and enter into a REST! Anytime we enter such a wonderful season like the one we
are approaching we need to be very careful and cherish our “new season”. We can
be certain that in this new season we will also be challenged to make the same
mistakes again. They will just be presented to us in new and different circumstances.
They can be compared as to being presented the same package of mistakes and
wrong choices that the thief used to kill, steal and destroy the good things out
of our lives in the old season. (John
10:10) Be very watchful in beginning this new season of 2015, the package
can be a different shape, gift wrapped in new and beautiful, shiny paper, but
as you open it, inside is still the same old situations and circumstances to
keep you entrapped and will keep us from reaching our destiny by deceiving us. All we will do is waste our time, get older
as we continue to go around the same mountain never entering into what our
Jesus has for us.
DOORS WILL BEGIN TO OPEN
This new season holds wonderful new things for you and I. He is
going to establish us so that we can honorably be entrusted to hold His kingdom
keys. Keys that will open doors to power and blessings that will help others in
need with enough and plenty for all of us. As we listen and look around in this
hour we hear of terrible things going on in this world and this country. These “terrible
things” will happen to those individuals who disobey and walk after the world.
Remember the world is the world, but you and I are not of this world, but
rather you and I belong to the kingdom of God.
We obey His Word and Jesus is our King!
We will be rewarded in this new season according to the good seed we
have sown. It’s not just about money, but “how we have sown all the good seed” placed
into our hands. In Matthew
20:30-34, it reads, “And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when
they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord,
thou son of David. And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold
their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us,
O Lord, thou son of David. And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said,
What will ye that I shall do unto you? They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes
may be opened. So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and
immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him." Just like the blind men you and I were
crying out to Jesus for mercy in our desperate and hopeless
situations. Jesus, our Lord had then great compassion on us just as He
did for the blind men. He touched their
eyes and immediately they received their sight and they followed Him--our Jesus
heard and answered us the same. The eyes of our hearts were opened and
now we can see what a precious Saviour He is!
CONTINUE TO FOLLOW HIM
Now in our new born again experience, as new creatures in Christ
we immediately continue to follow Him as He leads us right into this brand
New Year--2015. As I said earlier, it is a brand NEW season, how
exciting! What else does this New Year bring--A year of great RESTORATION
to our lives in every area. He will restore to us physically, spiritually,
mentally and financially making us totally whole. Again I repeat it is a year
of great BLESSINGS for you and me. This New Year our Lord CONTINUES to
hear those who need a Saviour. As they cry out in their desperate and hopeless
situations Jesus will hear them too. We now can see as the two blind men that our spiritual sight is being restored
and we will know who is behind such wonderful blessings! We now know what
others need who don’t know Jesus. You and I will continue to follow the
"BLESSOR" Jesus, our Saviour, giving Him glory, honor and praise for
the wonderful things he has done, is doing and will do in the near future.
We beckon to others to come and join Jesus and don’t miss this brand new
opportunity to get on with this exciting new season. Again, thank
you for all the wonderful prayers you prayed this past year for those in
need and continue to look toward this brand NEW year which starts a brand NEW
SEASON for you! To God Be The Glory!
